The Thin Line Between Love And Hate
Iron Maiden cover
Not a complete gallery, but a selection of images that show the project coming to life: stage, music, theatre, students, audience and shared work.
Each edition has its own identity. Here we keep only a few images, selected because each one tells something.
Teatro Astra, San Giovanni Lupatoto. A whole year of work concentrated into a single performance.
By 2018 the project’s theatrical scale was fully visible: choir, musicians, actors, presentations and projections all shared the same performance.
Teatro S. Teresa, Verona. A more intimate edition, where music and theatre remain strongly centred on people and their stories.
The 2017 photographs alternate choral moments, music, theatre and audience: more intimate than 2018, but already fully mature.
Teatro S. Teresa, Verona. A particularly hybrid edition: game, theatre, music, audience involvement and even an acoustic moment unlike the other years.
Among the distinctive moments of 2016 was Paolo and Joshua’s acoustic duet: an intimate interlude inside an otherwise choral and highly dynamic show.
Teatro S. Teresa, Verona. Books, authors, music and very concrete questions: what does school really have to do with the way we live?
The photographs reveal a strongly narrative edition: presentations, projections, music and spoken moments constantly alternate, with the students always at the centre.
Teatro S. Teresa, Verona. Five young people and five stories become the starting point for talking about choices, responsibility and change.
2014 has a clear visual identity: presenters, spoken moments, projections and music shape a show that also feels like a live talk show.
Teatro S. Teresa, Verona. The first edition: the moment when the earlier lesson-shows finally find a name, a theme and a format that will continue to grow.
A large screen, choir, musicians, students and eight choices to explore: the 2013 images already contain almost everything that will accompany English or… Nothing! in the years that follow.
Amateur footage filmed by friends and parents: not a complete archive, but four moments chosen because they tell part of the story of English or… Nothing!
